Consumer Health Data Notice

This notice applies to residents of Washington, Nevada and other states with consumer health data laws. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.

The short version

We try hard not to collect health data at all. Our forms ask for your name, your email and what you are looking for, and every one of them tells you not to include health information. Nothing on this website asks you about symptoms, diagnoses or treatment.

What could still count as consumer health data

These laws define health data broadly. Information can fall under them even when we did not ask for it:

• Anything you volunteer in a message or an application form about your own wellbeing.
• The fact that you enrolled in a particular training or applied for the retreat, to the extent it suggests something about you.
• Inferences that could be drawn from which pages you viewed, if you consented to analytics.

How we use it

Only to answer you and to deliver what you asked for. We do not use it for advertising and we do not profile you with it.

Who we share it with

For enrolment and account delivery: Memberspot, Zoom and our payment providers. For retreat applications: Google Forms and Dr. Petra Frese, who reads applications herself. Nobody else.

We do not sell consumer health data. We have never done so and have no plans to. We do not collect precise location data.

Your rights

You can ask us to confirm whether we hold consumer health data about you, to tell you who received it, to give you a copy, and to delete it. Deletion requests are passed on to the service providers listed above.

Write to info@wisdomheroes.com with "health data request" in the subject line. We respond within 45 days and may extend once by another 45 days where a request is complex, in which case we will tell you.

If we deny a request, you can appeal by replying to our decision. If the appeal is denied you may contact the Attorney General of your state.

A note on what we are

Wisdom Heroes provides training and self-improvement education. We are not a healthcare provider, we do not diagnose or treat anything, and we are not a HIPAA covered entity.
